The Medfield Park & Rec. Dept. is joining the Medfield Public Library to celebrate Sports Week. The Boston Bruins are sponsoring the Massachusetts Libraries’ Summer Programs this year. Their mascot "Blades" will visit the Day Camp and join our special program where we’ll read some hockey stories and play games together. Drop in and meet "Blades!

Green Guessing Jar
Every week day, June 21 to August 27
All ages
Drop in every week this summer and estimate how many items are in the jar on the librarians’ desk. Fill out the ticket. The closest guess will win a $10.00 gift certificate to the Park Street Book Store donated by owner Jim James.
Keep trying because the jar changes every week !!
Our 2010 Massachusetts Summer Reading theme is: GoGreen At Your Library
Please come in and join in the fun. We will have storytimes,
special events, crafts, and a summer book club.
1. Pick up a Reading Log in the Children’s Room beginning June 21.
2. The goal is to read or be read to for at least 15 minutes per day, 5 days each week. All ages are included.
3. Use this log to record the date and length of time spent reading. Color one leaf for each 15 minutes.
4. Bring your log to the library every week to receive a sticker and a free book if you have achieved the goal. Keep track while you’re away and check in when you get back.
5. If you participate for all 10 weeks, June 21 to August 27, you will receive a library certificate and a Friendly’s Ice Cream Cone coupon (generously donated by the Friendly Ice Cream Corporation).
