The
Library's Collections
The Medfield Public Library houses a
collection of books, CD's, videos, and DVD's in its Adult, Young Adult,
and Children's collections.The library is also part of the Minuteman
Library Network and the Massachusetts Library and Information Network,
which make the resources of other Massachusetts libraries, the
Internet, and electronic books available to Medfield residents.
The Library
Building
The Library is located at 468 Main Street in downtown
Medfield, across from the Medfield Town Hall. The Library was totally
renovated in 1998.The main
floor contains the Young Adult Room, Electronic Media, the
Reference Room and staff, New Books, Biographies, the Periodicals Room,
and the Circulation Desk. The remaining Adult Collection is located on
the lower level,
along with two
meeting rooms.The Children's
Room is upstairs.

Community
Support and Oversight
The Library Board
of Trustees oversees the Library's operations. The trustees
are elected by Medfield voters and serve overlapping three year terms.
Friends of the
Library
The Friends
of the Library provide significant financial and community
support for the Library, providing many programs. Their support is
greatly appreciated.Members receive many benefits such as discounted
passes to various museums and attractions such as the Children's Museum
and the New England Aquarium.
